Rescue Horse Retraining and Rehoming
Details on this new program coming soon! Until then, here’s a look at some of what we’ve been up to.
Citrine- Weanling from neglect case (adopted!)
Citrine came to us freshly weaned, terrified of everything, and completely unhandled. This filly is grade, but obviously bred well as she’s built like a brick house and put together just perfect. Two months after coming here, she was halter broke, confident, and could even carry a tiny pony saddle.
Thepennsylvaniakid - Thoroughbred ex-racehorse (adopted!)
6-year-old Kid came to us severely malnourished and with a horrible case of rain rot. He’s putting on weight, his skin is healing up, and he’s now in training with us, learning to slow down, relax, and carry himself in a healthier, rounder frame. He’s now a much happier horse and is going to make someone a terrific all-around partner. (CONGRATULATIONS, AMY AND NICK! YOU GOT A GOOD ONE!)
gEORGE- BREEDING FARM REJECT
George is a 2016 cutting bred gelding, who was snagged by a local rescue as a weanling before he was sent to a low-end auction. He has grown into a sweet, attractive horse. We acquired him in October of 2018, and he’s now in our training program and is being pointed toward being an all-around show horse. He impresses us more every day with his willingness and beautiful movement!
